New Mexico occupational therapist arrested for multiple sexual crimes against minors

CURRY COUNTY, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — A New Mexico occupational therapist was arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual crimes with a minor.

According to court documents filed in the 9th Judicial District Court in Curry County, Jared Cordum was alleged to have committed criminal acts against three different children all under the age of 10.

Documents state that Cordum is owner and operator of “Out of the Box Therapy”.

According to documents, the business was said to have provided services to numerous children in Curry, Roosevelt, and De Baca Counties.

Cordum was charged with eleven counts including five counts of “Criminal Sexual Contact of a minor,” four counts of “Practicing without a License,” one count of “Battery,” and one count of “Sexual Penetration of a Minor.”
