Draymond Green Makes Blunt Prediction About Team USA's Gold Medal Chances

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has full confidence in Team USA getting the job done in Paris. The two-time Olympic gold medalist dropped a guarantee that the US squad will bring home the gold once everything is said and done at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“Absolutely. This is our sport; that’s what we do; of course we are winning the gold,” said Green (h/t NBA on ESPN ).

Team USA is the overwhelming favorite to win the Olympic men’s basketball tournament.

Green, who was part of the US teams that won gold in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, said back in January that he was ready to play for the national team, though he ultimately got omitted from the squad.

Nevertheless, the 2024 edition of Team USA looks incredibly solid.

LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry banner the team, with the likes of Joel Embiid, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum, and Anthony Edwards also being part of the contingent.

Canada, France, and Serbia are the teams considered to be the biggest threats to the Americans in the Olympics.

Team USA will start their campaign in Paris with a matchup versus Serbia on July 28.
