    [1] Albuquerque police share information about Saturday shooting near Juan Tabo – Witnesses in claim two vehicles shot from their cars, hitting a food truck four times and a personal vehicle once. Police say that shooting led to a six-vehicle car crash near Copper and Juan Tabo. Police say a suspect and their passenger jumped out of their vehicle after the crash and ran to a nearby Olive Garden. While pursing the suspects a BCSO deputy claims he saw one of the suspects drop a firearm. The suspects were detained and booked into MDC and are facing charges of shooting from a vehicle and evading police.

    [2] Albuquerque city councilor wants to install noise cameras in Downtown – Albuquerque city councilor Joaquin Baca is hoping to bring attention to a resolution that passed in 2022 that would implement noise cameras in the downtown area. Baca says the cameras would alert police of extreme noise past a certain time of night and capture a car’s information based on noise levels as they drive by. Councilor Baca says he plans on bringing up the resolution during a council meeting in August.

    [3] Storms more widespread and cooler eventually – A high pressure system will remain strong and allow for temperatures to skyrocket this afternoon. More unsettled weather later this week will come in the form of the weakening high pressure drifting to the southwest, allowing for more tropical moisture in the atmosphere to generally produce more thunderstorms, lower high temperatures eventually, and stronger winds.

    [4] Ruidoso says donations no longer needed – The Village of Ruidoso is thanking all the communities who helped in their time of need, saying they are fully stocked up on donations. Officials said because of the overwhelming support, they are currently at capacity for monetary donations and unaffiliated volunteers. The village says if more donations are needed in the future, a list will be publicized.

    [5] Home Run Derby X coming to Albuquerque – Some New Mexicans are waiting to see if they secured a spot in the upcoming Home Run Derby X in Albuquerque. Sunday, 16 locals stepped up to showcase their batting skills. Isotopes General Manager Jon Traub says the MLB will be picking the roster based on video from Sunday’s try out. Participants included some former minor league and college players.
