Nick Saban Going Viral For Brutal Message To College Football Power

Legendary college football coach Nick Saban will no longer be roaming the sidelines and slamming headsets while up 30 points in 2024.

Instead, the seven-time champion and former Alabama coach is transitioning to a media role with ESPN. Monday marked one of his first days on the other side of the fence, and it has already been filled with iconic moments from Saban.

The day started with Saban not being allowed entry to the SEC media days site because he forgot his credential. It has since turned into him sending a stern message to one of the conference's newest members.

The SEC added former Big 12 programs Texas and Oklahoma. Both made their SEC media days debut on Monday. While the Longhorns are coming off their best season since 2009, Saban reminded them it will not be easy in the SEC.

"What kind of tickles me is all these people asking these questions about how Texas always ran the conference they were in," Saban said on "SEC Now" on Monday. "They're not gonna run the SEC."

The clip of him saying that has amassed over 500,000 views, and has many fans laughing at his brutal honesty. According to FanDuel , Texas has the second-best odds to win the SEC, trailing only Georgia. It is also worth noting that even though Saban doesn't think it will be easy for Texas in the SEC, he did go on to pick them to play for the SEC title in 2024 against the Bulldogs.

Saban received a taste of just how good Texas was this past season. The Longhorns went to Tuscaloosa and beat the Crimson Tide, 34-24. That win seemed to be the Longhorns' statement game of the year and may have helped change the trajectory of the program.
