NBA Legend Paul Pierce's Spirited Sermon About Caitlin Clark's WNBA Turnovers Says It All

Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark has already proven to be one of the WNBA's elite players. Yet, with all of her rookie season success, one glaring negative component exists in Clark's game: turnovers.

Clark leads the WNBA in turnovers with 139; the player with the second-most turnovers has 86. The rookie set the WNBA record for most turnovers in a season  over the weekend with 15 games remaining on Indiana's schedule.

Yet, NBA legend Paul Pierce made it clear during a segment on "Undisputed" Monday why these turnovers should be of no concern.

"(Clark) is in great company," Pierce began before noting that the five players with the top most turnovers in NBA history are LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Karl Malone, John Stockton and Kobe Bryant.

For the WNBA, Pierce noted the top five WNBA players with the most turnovers are Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, Becky Hammon, Tina Thompson and Lisa Leslie.

"We're talking about she's going to be in fine company," Pierce said. "Because these are all Hall of Famers that I just named."

Pierce also added that the Fever have been winning; which is another reason Clark's turnover rate is a nonissue.

"She’s continuing to check off boxes," he added.

High praise from an NBA legend.
