Skip Bayless' Bombshell Update Is Going Viral

Skip Bayless' days as "Undisputed" host are numbered. That is after a new report claimed that the veteran commentator is leaving the show soon.
According to the New York Post, Bayless will leave his role on the FOX Sports show later this summer. The 72-year-old TV personality has been with the network since 2016. He was with ESPN for 12 years prior to that.
"Skip Bayless is leaving his role as co-host of “Undisputed” at the network after eight years. His final show will be later this summer," Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post confirmed.
Bayless' decision comes just over a year after his former co-host, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe, also left the "Undisputed" show. Sharpe has since joined ESPN, opposite Stephen A. Smith on "First Take."
Sure enough, the decision surprised many, especially since Bayless is unarguably one of the network's biggest names in sports coverage.
"What a shame," a commenter wrote. "WTF!" another one said.
Others noted that the show was just not the same anymore after Sharpe left. For those not in the know, "Undisputed" had a rotating panelist around Bayless when Sharpe left.
"Truly the end bro like Skip don't understand that he fumbled hard. #Undisputed was pretty much his show he had a beautiful thing going in the beginning. Had great chemistry and good shows with Shannon Sharp. Literally destroyed that it was not able to replicate even a fraction. Of the aura that that show had in the beginning," a commenter added.
Another critic shared, "Wasn't the same once Shannon left."
"Not surprised…..his show has gone to compete shit since Shannon Sharpe left," a fifth fan noted.
It remains to be seen what's next for Bayless, though some followers are interested to see if he will rejoin ESPN or move on to other ventures.
"Skip Bayless leaving Undisputed. Makes you wonder if he's not going back to ESPN. Not on First Take. But maybe another show," a social media user added.

For what it's worth, even without Bayless, "Undisputed" is expected to continue, per The Post.
