Temperatures start off in the 70s under partly cloudy skies and light winds. We’ll still be a bit humid with the humidity really playing into afternoon temperatures.

Highs will make a run for the upper 90s today landing just 2 degrees shy of the record high of 100 degrees which was set in 1887 & 1899. Skies will be partly cloudy with isolated storms developing through the peak heating hours of the day.

These storms will likely be widely scattered and focus mainly towards out mountain counties. Showers taper off overnight with lows aimed towards the mid-70s by Wednesday morning. 90s will return Wednesday afternoon with spotty showers and storms likely through mid-week.

We’ll have an active and summerlike pattern locked in for the rest of the week as temperatures slide down into the mid to upper 80s through the weekend. We’ll keep afternoon storm chances coming through Monday of next week.

Today: Partly Cloudy & Very Hot with Spotty Showers & Storms! High: 98.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy & Very Warm. Low: 75.
