New York Giants rookie tight end Theo Johnson was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list Tuesday.

As the rookie class officially reported for training camp Tuesday, Johnson is seemingly dealing with an undisclosed injury.

It's unclear how severe the injury is or what kind of injury Johnson is dealing with.

Until more information comes out about Johnson's injury, Giants fans will want to withhold their panic. Sometimes players spend only a day or two on the list to begin training camp before they are cleared.

Sometimes players with more serious injuries stay there for a longer time. But it's unclear what injury led to Johnson being placed on the list.

When it comes to the PUP list, Johnson can be removed at any time as soon as he's cleared by the training staff.

The fourth-round pick is expected to have a big role in the passing offense, especially following the retirement of Darren Waller this offseason.

Once Johnson is healthy, he will likely split first-team snaps with Daniel Bellinger while Lawrence Cager, Jack Stoll and Chris Manhertz compete for depth roles in the tight end room.
