    Man, 2 dogs rescued from Frederick County house fire

    FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Frederick County Fire and Rescue officials said a man and his two dogs were rescued from a fire that broke out on Tuesday evening.

    Crews responded to a two-story home in the 5700 block of Bartonsville Road at about 6:45 p.m. At the time, smoke was showing from the roof and a man was trapped inside.

    Firefighters were able to get the man out just after 7 p.m. and knock down most of the fire.

    He was flown to a burn center with critical injuries.

    Two dogs were also rescued from the home. One was taken for veterinary treatment, while the other was given to relatives.

    In an update made at 8 p.m., the departments said that the Fire Marshal was on the scene investigating.
