OKOBOJI, Iowa ( KCAU ) — The 5mph no-wake rule in Dickinson will be expiring soon, but some conditions need to be met first.

At a meeting on Tuesday, the Emergency Management Commission voted to follow the Dickinson County High-Water Plan regarding the no-wake rule.

The plan states that the no-wake rule may be lifted 72 hours after water levels fall below 6.2 feet.

On Wednesday, the levels were recorded at 6.17 feet. If the water does not rise above the implementation level, the no-wake rule will be lifted.

Dickinson County officials will announce when the plan has been lifted.
