Joel Embiid's Lackluster Performance Against Serbia Sparks Calls for Benchings from NBA Fans

By all means, Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid is among the most dominant and skilled players in the NBA when he's healthy. Though he has battled a lot of injuries throughout his career, there are a lot of expectations that Embiid will eventually be a championship-level center.

However, he doesn't appear to be showing that on the world stage while Team USA gets ready for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

During USA's game against Serbia on Wednesday, Embiid looked to struggle with the physicality of the game, and it left a lot of NBA fans complaining on social media and calling for the Sixers star to be benched for the remainder of the game.

Whether it's a blown defensive assignment, missed layups, or horrible turnovers, Embiid did not have a great start to the game on Wednesday. We will see if the coaches of Team USA decide to change anything up after this going forward.
