    AEW Dynamite 250 Results – July 17, 2024

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicks off with Will Ospreay defending the AEW International Championship against MJF.

MJF defeated Will Ospreay to win the AEW International Championship

    • Will Ospreay refused to hit the Tiger Driver ’91 in the match’s final minute. This leads to a ref bump and MJF hits Ospreay with the Dynamite Diamond Ring to score the pinfall victory over Ospreay seconds before time expires.

The Acclaimed are backstage with Mark Briscoe pitching why they should be involved in Blood and Guts. Mark Briscoe says they are in as far as he’s concerned, but he’s not the only person to make the call. Swerve Strickland comes in and says they’ve all been through some battles so he knows what they’re about. Strickland asks them if they’re ready to get violent. Max Caster says hell yeah. Only one spot on Team AEW remains.

They follow the backstage segment up with TV Time with Chris Jericho. Jericho says he will be on every episode of Dynamite until episode 500. Chris Jericho runs down everyone they have injured and put on the shelf in recent weeks. Jericho says this needs to stop and there shouldn’t be anyone crazy enough to not listen to him now. This brings out New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Minoru Suzuki with a piece of paper in his hand.

Minoru Suzuki says next week he gets his match against Chris Jericho. Bryan Keith takes the paper out of Suzuki’s hand and it’s a contract that says he gets Jericho next week with Keith and Big Bill barred from ringside. Suzuki lays out Jericho and says bye guys and leaves.

Blood and Guts continues to come together for next week’s AEW Dynamite

The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada are backstage hyping up the Blood and Guts match next week against Team AEW. Mercedes Moné arrives and says she appreciates Matthew and Nicholas for banning Britt Baker from the building tonight. Okada asks the Bucks to ask Mercedes if she would do her CEO dance and she obliges before leaving. Okada fans himself afterwards showing that he’s a big fan of the double champ.

Mercedes Moné defeated Nyla Rose to retain her TBS Championship

    • Mercedes Moné locks Nyla Rose in the Statement Maker to win the match via submission.

A “fan” at ringside in a Sting masked piefaces Mercedes, it’s Britt Baker. Baker hops the rails and goes after Mercedes but the two women are separated by security.

Jack Perry is backstage. Perry says if Darby Allin wanted his attention he has it now. Perry questions why he attacked Brandon Cutler because he doesn’t care about Cutler. Jack Perry has Cutler at his feet and he picks him up and continues to beat him up. Perry tells Darby to find him later tonight.

Mariah May explains her actions from last week’s AEW Dynamite

Mariah May comes out dressed up like Timeless Toni Storm. May says everyone saw her turn coming besides Toni Storm. May says Storm is so desperate for the spotlight that she didn’t realize she was giving it all away. Mariah says the question shouldn’t be why, the question should be what took her so long.

May admits she didn’t think it would last this long either but it was so easy and she was having so much fun stringing Storm along and she wanted to see how far it would go. May says when she saw Wembley she thought why kill the horse in the back instead of killing it in front of as many people as possible?

Mariah says she still loves Toni and the crowd chants for Toni. May says she’s never loved Storm more than when she was on her knees bleeding, crying, and screaming her name and says that was Storm’s greatest performance. May says her greatest performance will be at All In because AEW is now all about Mariah.

They show footage following AEW Collision last week where Christopher Daniels forced Bullet Club Gold to relinquish the Trios Titles. They will now face The Patriarchy this Saturday on Collisoin to crown new champions.

    It’s time…for the main event!

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) defeated AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada

    • Swerve Strickland is attacked by the Young Bucks and the match ends in a disqualification.

The ring fills with the members of Team AEW and The Elite as everyone brawls. Darby Allin comes down from the rafters and is the fifth member of Team AEW as Dynamite goes off the air.
