If it feels like Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark sets a new WNBA record every time she steps on the court, it's because she does—at least over the past several games.

It was no different on Wednesday night as the Fever suffered defeat at the hands of the Dallas Wings, 101-93. Despite the loss, however, it was Clark who once again dominated headlines after dishing out a career-high 19 dimes, which now stands as the new WNBA all-time record for the most assists in a single game.

After the loss, Clark was asked to comment on her latest milestone. Even before she could answer, however, teammate Aliyah Boston preempted Clark's response by predicting that Clark would be quick to play down the new record.

"She's gonna say it means nothing," Boston said. "But I think it's pretty cool. I think that's pretty cool. So, sorry."

True enough, Clark pretty much did exactly what her teammate said.

"I mean—I just try to set my teammates up for success," Clark stated. "I think at times, I can almost overpass, and that can maybe, I don't know. There probably could have been a few times where instead of passing that leads to (a) turnover that I may have, I could probably shoot the ball."

Talk about playing down a major achievement.

There's no denying that the 22-year-old's response was pure class. Clark could have very easily talked up this massive accomplishment, but being who she is, the rookie sensation opted to take a familiar, humble approach.

This, among other things, is what makes Clark an absolute gem.
