Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Randall Cobb is starting the next chapter in his life. ESPN announced through a press release Thursday that Cobb will join the SEC Network as a college football studio analyst for the 2024 season.

“We are thrilled to welcome Randall to the SEC Network crew,” said Pete Watters, SEC Network Coordinating Producer II . “His experience and knowledge of the game, both from playing at Kentucky and in the NFL, will be such an asset to our football coverage.”

Before his NFL success, Cobb starred as an SEC wide receiver with the Kentucky Wildcats. He is a member of the Kentucky Athletics Hall of Fame.

ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted about Cobb joining SEC Network.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport also tweeted Thursday about Cobb's new job. Fans reacted to Cobb joining SEC Network as well.

"Of all the wide receivers to ever play for the Packers and record at least 15 targets, no one caught a higher percentage of them than Randall Cobb," wrote Zach Jacobson. "One of the franchise's all-time great players and an even better human being."

Several fans tweeted about Cobb's kickoff return for a touchdown during his NFL debut in 2011.

"After this play, I ordered Randall Cobb's jersey," wrote Stephanie Olson.

    "Congrats on the retirement #18."

Cobb spent 10 seasons with the Green Bay Packers over two different stints. He also spent one year with the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and New York Jets.

He made the Pro Bowl with the Packers while posting 91 receptions, 1,287 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014.

"I better see the Randall Cobb signs a one day deal to retire with the Green Bay Packers news by noon," wrote fangirlfornfl.
