LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau will likely need to post a low round on Friday to make the cut at the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon.

DeChambeau, the winner of June's U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, fired a five-over par 76 in his opening round of the 2024 Open on Thursday. He's currently eight shots behind the leaders with several players in the late wave still on the course this afternoon.

Following his disappointing start at The Open, DeChambeau took time on Thursday to speak with media members after the round. Unfortunately, the LIV Golf star made a comment that hasn't been well-received by the rest of the golf world.

The word ' incalculatable ' has begun trending on social media after DeChambeau mistakenly corrected a reporter during his post-round presser.

"It seems like... many things are incalculable?" DeChambeau was asked after the round.

    "Incalculatable," Bryson responded.

DeChambeau's opening round could've been worse - he shot a 6-over 42 on the opening nine before recovering to post a 1-under par 34 on the back.

An eagle on Royal Troon's par-5 16th hole helped stop the bleeding for the 2024 U.S. Open champion.

DeChambeau will look to bounce back from his disappointing opening round with a low one on Friday.

He'll tee off at 9:48 a.m ET tomorrow alongside Ludvig Åberg and Tom Kim.
