Everyone Said The Same Thing About Caitlin Clark's Sneaky Attempt At WNBA All-Star Event

Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark was pictured at the WNBA All-Star Orange Carpet event, previewing her outfit, along with her teammates Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

While Clark was walking across the carpet, cameras were flashing, and fans pointed out her attempt to hide from the media and skip pictures. WNBA fans all over social media shared their reactions to the efforts of the Fever guard.

"[She's] really just here to ball," said one fan with a laughing emoji.

"That is so her. Lovely. Enjoy your time off," commented another fan.

"I honestly feel like she wants the impact that she has but doesn't want to be famous. If she can have someone else be the influencer that she is, she'd probably be ok with that," explained another.

WNBA fans believe Clark is simply focused on playing basketball, and she's not interested in all of the media beyond the hardwood.

The rookie out of Iowa has proven to be a difference-maker in the WNBA landscape, currently averaging 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game.

She may have been playfully hiding from the media, but that's a very difficult task as one of the most popular athletes in sports. The No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft has already secured multiple league records as a 22-year-old.

To name a few, Clark holds the record for the most assists in a single game in WNBA history with 19, and she's the only rookie to have ever notched a triple-double, posting 19 points, 13 assists, and 12 rebounds against the New York Liberty on July 6.

The bright lights will be back on Clark as she takes the court for Team WNBA in the All-Star game on July 20 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Clark and the Fever will have a lengthy break during the 2024 Olympics. Indiana will be back on the hardwood on Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET against the Phoenix Mercury.
