College football's new 12-team playoff presents opportunities for all 134 teams in the 2024 season, and that's especially true with the Big 12 as depth and a wide-open conference race are the biggest storylines this fall. The Big 12 expanded to 16 teams with the arrival of Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona State this year, giving the conference even more depth and potential contenders with an expanded field in '24.

Note: Due to conference expansion, former Pac-12 teams will only be selected for bowls tied to the league last season. This includes Alamo, Holiday, Las Vegas, Sun, Los Angeles, and Independence Bowls.
