CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Animal Matters of Clearfield County is closing intake until further notice, they announced online .

The shelter will not accept calls concerning dogs and cats, saying all intakes are closed until further notice. The decision comes after having difficulty with a bill they said they didn’t make enough money to pay.

“Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we just can’t do this on our own anymore. I want to thank everybody who donated towards the Lab for Metzgers. Unfortunately, we did not make enough to pay the bill. We still have an outstanding balance there and we just can’t keep doing this,” the post read.
