Who Is Xander's Mom, Fiona, on DAYS?

Who is Xander’s mother on Days of Our Lives ? That’s Fiona Cook, and she’s played by actress Serena Scott Thomas . Back in April, it was revealed that the actress had been cast on the soap but they were keeping the identity of her character a secret. By the time she made her debut in the cliffhanger of the July 19, 2024 episode, it had been revealed she was playing Xander’s mom! Thomas is probably best known for playing Diana, Princess of Wales in the 1993 television mini-series Diana: Her True Story . She can also be seen in films like The World Is Not Enough and Inherent Vice as well as in episodes of television series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Nip/Tuck.

On Mother’s Day, 2024, Xander Cook surprised Sarah Horton with a gift and she asked about his own mother and why she wasn’t part of his life. She wanted their daughter, Victoria, to know both of her grandmothers, but Xander suggested she’d feel differently if she actually met his mom. Sarah dropped the subject, but it resurfaced after they got engaged and she wanted to invite Fiona to their wedding. He confessed that his mother is a raging alcoholic and even when she was sober, she was no prize.

Having been given plenty of second chances himself, Xander allowed Sarah to contact his mother, but didn’t know where to find her. Sarah managed to track down a phone number but no one picked up so she left a message. When someone called back, it wasn’t Xander’s mother and Sarah realized she’d hit a dead end. But after Xander spoke to his aunt, he got an address for Fiona and Sarah decided to send her an invitation to their double wedding with Theresa Donovan and Alex Kiriakis . Theresa panicked at the idea and tried to throw away the invitation but Bonnie Lockhart found it and popped it in the mail herself.

So when Xander and Sarah stood at the altar before their guests and officiant Maggie Horton asked if anyone knew of any reason why these two should not be married, a voice called out from the back to apologize for being late and everyone turned to see Fiona standing there!
