    Victim in Tragic Minnesota River Water Incident in Bloomington, Minnesota, Identified

    BLOOMINGTON, MINNESOTA - The victim in the water incident that occurred on the evening of Sunday, June 16th, 2024, has been identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner as 73-year-old Roxanne Lora Trickey of Norwood Young America, Minnesota.

    According to the medical examiner's report, the manner of her death was ruled an accident caused by freshwater drowning in the Minnesota River at the Lyndale Bridge in Bloomington, Minnesota. It was reported in the medical examiner’s report that there was a history of altered mental status and transient ischemic attacks (mini-strokes).

    The incident occurred just before 8 PM on Sunday, June 16th, when witnesses reported seeing a vehicle drive into the Minnesota River from the boat ramp. Despite their immediate attempts to rescue the lone occupant, they were unsuccessful as the current quickly swept away the vehicle and went underwater.
