The New York Giants have been no stranger to doubters this offseason. Their latest moment of getting overlooked comes at the hands of NFL minds. They seemingly forgot about one of New York's best players on their roster.

Via ESPN, NFL insider Jeremy Fowler broke down a survey given to league executives, coaches, and scouts. That survey ranks top 10 players at different positions. Check out his description for how they come to their rankings below.

With 2024 NFL training camps on the horizon, it is again time for the league's true insiders to make their voices heard. ESPN surveyed league executives, coaches and scouts to help us rank the top 10 players at 11 different positions, from quarterback to cornerback and all positions in between. This is the fifth edition of these rankings, and as usual, several players have moved up or fallen off last year's lists .

Bobby Okereke snubbed by recent linebacker rankings

Somehow, a top ten linebacker in football did not make their list, including honorable mentions .

In fact, Okereke somehow did not even receive a vote for the rankings. That is simply unacceptable from the voters.

The Giants linebacker is one of the best tacklers in the NFL, and he was the most consistent force in New York's LB group last season. You can argue that he is the second-best player on the team's entire defense, behind Dexter Lawrence.

For comparison, Okereke was ranked tenth in football via Pro Football Focus .

    10. BOBBY OKEREKE , NEW YORK GIANTS

A career-high 78.9 PFF grade highlighted the best season of Okereke’s career, his first with the Giants. The 2019 third-round draft pick ranked ninth at the position with an 82.5 PFF coverage grade, and he was one of the surest tacklers in the league, missing just 7.7% of his attempts.

According to Pro Football Network , Okereke is the ninth-best LB in the league.

The Giants were desperate for linebacker help when they signed Bobby Okereke to a four-year deal in 2023, and the former Indianapolis Colt was everything Big Blue could have hoped for.

Okereke stabilized the second level of New York’s defense, setting career highs in snaps (1,128), pass deflections (10), forced fumbles (four), and sacks (2.5).

Overall, it's clear that Okereke received some major disrespect via the rankings from ESPN. Folks around the NFL need to tune into his play a bit more often in 2024.
