PGA Tour Golfer's Emotional Reaction to Making Open Championship Cut Turns Heads

Max Homa has become a fan favorite on the PGA Tour over the past few years.

Still on the hunt for his first major victory, Homa hoped to bounce back at this week's Open Championship at Royal Troon after missing the cut at the U.S. Open in June. An opening round of 76 on Thursday, however, put Homa behind the eight ball heading into Friday's all-important second round.

Fighting to stay on the correct side of the cutline all day, Homa entered the 18th hole on Friday needing a birdie to secure a spot on the weekend.

Faced with a lengthy birdie try to make the cut on the number, Homa stepped up and drained it.

Homa's emotional celebration after officially making the weekend is one of the best moments to come out of the 2024 Open Championship thus far.

The viral video shared by @TheOpen already has nearly 80k views on X.

Homa (+6 overall) will be one of the first players to hit the course in round three tomorrow morning.
