    State Fire Marshal: Preble Co. fire ruled as arson

    WEST ELKTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Investigators are offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information about an early morning fire that has been ruled as arson.

    The Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating after a fire fully engulfed a vacant single-story home in the 7300 block of Greenbush Road. Shawnee Fire District and neighboring agencies responded to the fire around midnight on July 19.

    No one was hurt in the fire, but investigators have determined the fire to be a result of an intentional human act.

    A reward of $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for important leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

    Anyone with information is urged to contact the State Fire Marshal’s tip line at 800-589-2728. Callers can remain anonymous, and all tips will be thoroughly investigated
