There are few hotter topics in the WNBA right now than the raging debate about who the better rookie is between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

Clark, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft, has been the season-long favorite to bag the WNBA Rookie of the Year title, but Reese lately has been giving the Indiana Fever star a run for her money.

One WNBA legend who has been in the shoes of these two young stars is Brittney Griner. The six-foot-nine center also went first overall in the WNBA Draft 11 years ago, like Clark did this 2024 season.

Griner, along with a few other stars from around the league, was recently asked which rookie she'd pick to be on her side in a 2-on-2 game. The Phoenix Mercury center said that she's rolling with Reese.

The above clip did not provide much context, so we don't really know Griner's reason for picking Reese over Clark. The 10-time WNBA All-Star also did not have a clear opinion on this season's Rookie of the Year race.

Nevertheless, we now know who Griner would rather be teammates with.
