Moment Caitlin Clark Realized She Was About To Beat Team USA Caught On Camera By Flau’jae Johnson

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Team WNBA pulled off a 117-109 upset win over Team USA in the 2024 WNBA All-Star game on Saturday. This marked the last WNBA action before the month-long Olympic break.

Clark had a record-setting performance in the win. She recorded only four points on 2-of-9 shooting, but dished out ten assists. In doing so, Clark broke the record for most assists by a rookie in a WNBA All-Star game.

One fan in attendance for the event was LSU Tigers star Flau'jae Johnson, who caught the action courtside. Towards the end of the game, Johnson recorded Clark on her Instagram live, capturing the exact moment the former Iowa Hawkeyes star knew Team WNBA would win.

"I think we're about to win," Clark said. "Want to put my jersey on and get out there?"

With the All-Star win, Clark and fellow rookie Angel Reese are 1-0 as a team—the first time this has ever happened.

Johnson and Reese played together for two years at LSU, leading the Tigers to a 2023 NCAAW national championship win over Clark and Iowa.

During the 2023-24 college basketball season, Johnson averaged 14.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. The 5-foot-10 guard was also named to the second-team All-SEC.
