The 2024 WNBA All-Star game concluded Saturday night with Team WNBA defeating Team USA, 117-109.

Now that the All-Star Game is complete, the league will go on a nearly one month break as Team USA heads off to Paris to compete in the Olympics. Following Team WNBA's victory, Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark revealed her plans for the league's Olympic break.

Indiana's next matchup is scheduled for Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Clark and the Fever will be off the hardwood for nearly four weeks, but it seems the rookie is prepared for a break from basketball.

"I can't wait to not touch a basketball for a while," Clark said.

Clark and the Fever played 11 games in the first 20 days of the season. While they have received a more cushioned schedule in the last few weeks, Indiana's rest period has been minimal all year.

The rookie out of Iowa will have a chance to recoup after a hectic start to her professional career.

At the midway point in the season, Indiana lies as the No. 7 team in the WNBA rankings with a 11-15 record. The top eight teams in the WNBA standings punch their ticket to the postseason, so the time off could be beneficial for a potentially lengthy season.

Clark has been in the WNBA spotlight since she was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft. She currently leads the Rookie of the Year race , averaging 17.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

While Clark and the majority of the WNBA will have time for practice and rest, a few league stars like Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart will be headed to Paris, France, for the 2024 Olympics. They'll face off against Team Germany on July 23 at 3 p.m. ET.

“Go on vacation for a little bit. Get away from basketball. Don’t touch a basketball for a little bit. Then come back, train and be ready for the second half. So I’m very thankful and grateful, and excited for the break, too,” Clark added.
