There has been a lot of talk surrounding how USA Basketball opted not to include Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark in the Team USA roster who will compete for a gold medal in the Paris Olympics.

Even though Clark won't admit it, there must have been some sort of revenge narrative running through her mind on Saturday night as she helped lead Team WNBA to an impressive 117-109 victory against Team USA.

Clark scored just four points on 2-of-9 shooting, but she did set a new all-time record for the most assists by a rookie during a WNBA All-Star Game by dishing out 10 dimes in 26 minutes of action.

After the game, Reeve delivered a brutally honest assessment of her team's performance.

"We didn't come out and really compete to say we have a certain identity we're trying to play to," Reeve said, via Alexa Philippou of ESPN. "I've got to figure that out . I've got to help them get there."

Unsurprisingly, Reeve refused to throw any of her players under the bus after this disappointing loss. Instead, she's pinned the blame on herself for failing to help her team find their identity.

It's back to the drawing board for Reeve and her coaching staff after this eye-opening loss. Team USA will need to shape up fast if they hope to come home from the upcoming Olympics with gold medals around their necks.
