Despite not having one full season under her belt, it was Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark who emerged as one of the most sought-after names throughout the recently concluded WNBA All-Star Weekend.

This speaks volumes about how Clark's popularity has reached immense heights, as the 22-year-old still stood out amid the myriad of superstars that took part in the much-anticipated weekend in Phoenix.

While Clark has basked in the glory of her global fame, there's also no denying that her overwhelming popularity does have its dark side, too. In a recent interview, the Fever guard talked about the harsh reality she's living in under a perpetual microscope.

"I think it's hard as a professional athlete at times, like people do always realize I feel like an individual just like all of you," Clark said, via Chloe Peterson of the Indy Star. "I'm just the same human ."

"I go about my same daily life, I do all the things that you do, I just play basketball on top of that ... everybody's looking at you to perform, and everybody's gonna want you to do this and be that, you have to be at your best every single day, and that's just one side of it," Clark adds.

The simple yet emotional message from Clark here is that, to a certain extent, she's just like the rest of us normal folk. She's also admitted struggling to come to terms with being one of the most popular athletes and all that comes with it.
