Basketball fans everywhere had come to terms with the fact that TNT's beloved Inside the NBA program was coming to an end at the conclusion of the 2024-25 NBA season.

But on Monday, TNT breathed some life back into the program with a huge announcement.

The Warner Bros-owned company announced that its matched one of the media rights offers extended to the NBA. TNT did not name the specific offer, but it's reportedly the $1.8 billion per year offer extended by Amazon.

The chemistry between Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny "The Jet" Smith and Ernie Johnson over Inside the NBA's decades-long run has made it one of the most beloved sports shows in history.

Shaq took to his Instagram story to react to the news, re-sharing a post about his employer's announcement.

As mentioned in the post re-shared by Shaq, the NBA is now tasked with the decision of which offer to accept. TNT has held NBA media rights for the last 35 years, and offers both cable and streaming platforms. Amazon's coverage of the league would be streaming-only on Amazon Prime.
