There is plenty of mystery surrounding Aaron Rodgers as he gears up to return under center for the New York Jets. The four-time MVP generated plenty of hype ahead of his first season in the Empire State, but Jets fans and Fantasy owners were dealt a mighty blow when he tore his left Achilles four plays into New York's Week 1 battle against the Buffalo Bills. Rodgers could still generate interest in the 2024 Fantasy football rankings, but his injury history mixed with New York's "defense first" style could make him one of the 2024 Fantasy football busts.

If you need to consider other quarterbacks in your 2024 Fantasy football strategy, who should you draft? As you begin your 2024 Fantasy football draft prep, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would fail to live up to his Fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 Fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver off the board on average. He'd go on to notch a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions with four touchdowns and he'd finish as the No. 34 Fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor's monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it's called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard projections update multiple times daily, so you're always getting the best Fantasy football advice.

Now, SportsLine has simulated the entire NFL season 10,000 times and released its latest Fantasy football rankings 2024, along with plenty of sleepers, breakouts and busts. Head to SportsLine now to see them .

    Top 2024 Fantasy football busts

One of the 2024 Fantasy football busts the model is predicting: Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett . After five straight seasons of being a top 15 Fantasy receiver, Lockett finished as the WR34 last year. He posted a stat line of 79-894-5, with both his yardage and touchdowns being his fewest since 2017. His receiving average of 11.3 was also the second-lowest of his career, with his YAC per reception being his worst-ever, indicating Father Time is catching up with the soon-to-be 32-year-old.

Seattle used a first-round pick on WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba last year, as he's the team's future at the position alongside Pro Bowler D.K. Metcalf. Yet, many Fantasy owners appear to still be living in the past as Lockett has a top-100 Fantasy football ADP. The model is much less bullish on him and slots him behind the likes of Rashid Shaheed and Ladd McConkey in its WR Fantasy rankings, despite those two being drafted over 50 spots later than Lockett on average.

Another bust that SportsLine's Fantasy football rankings 2024 have identified: Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. The 2020 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year made positive strides over his first three seasons in the league, but took a massive step back in 2023 after fracturing two different fingers in Week 4 and in Week 14. The second injury required season-ending surgery, and he concluded his season setting career-lows in completion percentage (65.1) and touchdowns (7).

Uncertainty at the QB position forced Los Angeles to be a more run-heavy team, and that is expected to continue in 2024 with the acquisition of Gus Edwards during free agency. This is another reason the latest 2024 Fantasy football ADP has Herbert being taken in the sixth round. See which other Fantasy football busts 2024 to avoid here .

How to find proven 2024 Fantasy football rankings

SportsLine is also low on a wide receiver who is being drafted as a top-15 player at his position. The model ranks him outside its top 20 wide receivers for 2024 and expects him to see major regression. You can only see who it is, and the 2024 Fantasy football rankings for every player, at SportsLine .
