UPDATE: Right lane closed, 1 hospitalized after semi crash on EB I-70 in Preble County

UPDATE @ 6:55 a.m.

The right lane is closed and a person got hurt after a crash involving three semis on Eastbound Interstate 70 in Preble County.

As reported Wednesday on News Center 7′s Daybreak, Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers and medics responded at 4:13 a.m. to initial reports of a crash on I-70 EB just past the Ohio/Indiana line.

Photos and video show that three semis were involved in the crash. The front of one semi suffered heavy damage.

All lanes of I-70 EB were closed as CareFlight responded, dispatchers told News Center 7.

OSHP said the left lane is back open and the right lane is closed. Medics transported a person by helicopter to an area hospital. News Center 7 has contacted OSHP for an update on that person’s condition.

Jake says this crash is near the Ohio Welcome Center on I-70 EB.
