The New York Giants have their starting quarterback for 2024 - it seems. Head coach Brian Daboll doubled down on that notion on Wednesday, saying that Daniel Jones is practicing with the offense's ones.

Jones is on his way back from multiple injuries last season, but he seems ready to go based on the latest report. He is their starter right now.

Giants QB Daniel Jones cleared for practice

Giants GM Joe Schoen is confident in Jones' ability to block out the noise and contribute for New York this season.

Schoen believes in him as a leader and has high hopes for the Giants, in general.

"Of all the guys on the team, he does the best job tuning out the noise. He's wired for the position. He's a great teammate, he's a leader, and I'm excited about how things can go this year if he can stay healthy." - Joe Schoen on Daniel Jones

Jones' mobility should not be questioned as he gets back into the flow of the offense. He looks healthy from that perspective based on clips of practice so far.

Daniel Jones struggles on first day of practice during Giants training camp

Jones is clearly knocking some rust off as he returns to the field. It's the first practice of camp, so no panic alarms should be pulled yet , due to struggles. That being said, it is worth monitoring that Jones solidifies himself as the Giants' best option for the upcoming season.

The Giants made some veteran upgrades to their offensive line and added wide receiver talent, including rookie Malik Nabers, this offseason to help Jones. They did, however, lose running back Saquon Barkley in free agency.

Only time will tell if sticking with Jones will pay off for Daboll and Schoen. If this year is a rough one, it's hard to see him as their starting QB in 2025.
