    Tractor-trailer rollover knocks out power in Preston County, 1 hospitalized

    BROWNS MILL, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after a tractor-trailer rolled over into power lines in Preston County, knocking out power in the area.

    According to a social media post made at 3:35 p.m. by the Preston County Office of Emergency Management, the accident happened at the intersection of Gladesville Road and N Mountaineer Highway.

    Officials with the Preston County 911 Center told 12 News that the tractor-trailer had rolled over and that one person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

    Mon Power’s outage map reports that 425 customers in the area are without power and that service is expected to be restored around 5:30 p.m. Gladesville Road will also be shut down for two to three hours from N Mountaineer Highway to Hummingbird Lane while crews perform cleanup operations.

    Crews from the Newburg Volunteer Fire Department, Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department, Reedsville Police Department Preston County Sheriff’s Office, and KAMP Ambulance responded to the scene.
