Despite an incredible season finale, New York Jets running back Breece Hall ended six yards short of a milestone number in 2023.

While totaling the second-most scrimmage yards (1,585) amongst NFL running backs, behind only Christian McCaffrey, Hall managed to gain 994 yards on the ground. Although Hall clearly established himself as a top-tier RB1, the 23-year-old still must wait to call himself a 1,000-yard rusher.

Fully healthy for his third NFL training camp, Hall suggested that hitting the millennium mark this year is inevitable.

"I'm [going to] for sure have 1000 plus yards this year, so that ain't even anything that's in the back of my mind," said Hall after Thursday's practice.

The 2022 second-round draft choice has averaged 4.8 yards per carry over a 24-game career sample and his noticeable burst makes Hall a constant threat to create explosive plays.

Hall made a highlight reel reception during Thursday's practice, which was open to media and ticketed spectators. With quarterback Aaron Rodgers moving to his right, Hall stayed with his quarterback and hauled in a pass along the sideline. The RB1 got his knee down in bounds, earning cheers from the crowd.

At this time last year, Hall was on the PUP list while working his way back from ACL surgery. Now, he's in prime shape to produce at an elite level .

"Just to be out there now at the beginning, it feels good," said Hall. "Last year, you're dealing with like, being sore all the time, stuff like that. Now, my knee doesn't bother me at all or anything, so this feels like back to normal."
