HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A pair of late night wrecks in Horry County have both resulted in critical injuries and at least one death, authorities said.

A person was killed around 4 a.m. Saturday after their vehicle overturned near Highway 19, about six miles outside of Loris. South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway said the sole occupant died on scene.

The person’s name was not immediately released.

A few hours earlier just before midnight near Highway 9 and Foxtail Drive in Long, authorities said a three-vehicle collision led to ejection and entrapment.

Both incidents are under investigation. Count on News13 for updates.
