TOWNSHIP OF FOREST – A motorcycle crash on County G near Glen Road Saturday afternoon resulted in a motorcycle driver being flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah for serious injuries.

The crash was reported around 2 p.m. July 27 by an off-duty Mt. Calvary EMS personnel via radio. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office deputies and personnel from the St. Coud Fire Department and Mt. Calvary EMS were dispatched to the scene.

A news release from the sheriff’s office said investigation determined a group of five motorcyclists were northbound on County G when the lead motorcyclist failed to activate his right turn signal while turning onto Glen Road to travel eastbound. This caused one of the motorcyclists to brake abruptly to avoid colliding with the lead motorcycle, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver of the motorcycle who was injured was not wearing a helmet.

The lead motorcyclist was issued a citation for failure to activate a signal turn, which contributed to the crash.

County G between Chickadee Drive and County CCC was closed for approximately 30 minutes for emergency crews.

Names of those involved in the crash were not released as the sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing.
