    The Nelon family's heartbroken bandmate and friends break silence after plane crash tragedy

    Three members of renowned gospel group The Nelons died in a tragic plane crash , and since then, friends have penned heartwrenching tributes.

    Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber and son-in-law Nathan Kistler were on their way to a concert with pilot Larry Haynie, his wife Melissa and the family's assistant Melodi Hodges. Their plane crashed over Wyoming, killing all seven on board, on Friday, July 16. The Nelons posted about their trip to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise, standing in front of their private plane and expressed their excitement about the journey , mentioning a stop in Nebraska and their next destination, Montana.

    Friends and co-workers of the family have expressed their grieving after local sheriff's office confirmed that no one survived from the crash.

    Singer-songwriter Mark Lowry told The U.S. Sun : "Our hearts are heavy with the news of the tragic passing of our dear friends. We have created so many precious memories over the decades that I will hold dear, so many good times and so much laughter." He continued: "Our only comfort is knowing that they have seen our Savior face to face, and we’ll join in singing with them again one day soon."

    Actor and entertainer Randall Franks shared a picture of him performing with them on Twitter. Along with the picture, he wrote: "Heartbroken - The Nelons plane crash going to Gaither Homecoming Cruise - Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, Amber and Nathan Kistler and their assistant, Melodi Hodges, along with the pilot, Larry Haynie and his wife, Melissa all were killed. Prayers for all. Me on stage with them."

    Pastor Ed Seltzer tweeted: "Many of us knew and appreciated @TheNelons. This loss hits hard. Moments like this don't come with an explanation-- just shock and sadness, causing us to cry out to God in grief. Pray with me for their family, friends, and church."

    Autumn Nelon Streetman, who is also part of the gospel group, was not aboard the flight. She issued a heartfelt statement, writing: "As many of you have heard by now, my father and mother, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with my sister, Amber, and brother-in-law, Nathan, as well as our dear friends Melodi Hodges, Larry, and Melissa Haynie, were involved in a tragic plane crash on Friday."

    She continued: "Thank you for the prayers that have been extended already to me, my husband, Jamie, and our soon-to-be-born baby boy, as well as Jason's parents, Dan and Linda Clark. We appreciate your continued prayers, love, and support as we navigate the coming days."

    Adam Crabb, another artist set to perform on the Gaither Homecoming Cruise, sent prayer to Autumn and her family when reposting the announcement of the trio's death. He wrote: "Heartbroken…. Praying for Autumn & her family!!"

    In Jason's last post on social media, he told fans that they would "check in later." Fans flooded the comment section and sent their condolences. One person wrote: "Wow! No words... praying for their families and friends. I am sure this video will be one their families keep close to their hearts. May the Lord be near to all who knew them. PTL they are singing in Glory and we will all meet up again one day. #comequicklylord." Another person commented: "So hard to watch this now."
