Stefon Diggs' move to the Houston Texans will have a major impact on the 2024 Fantasy football rankings. Diggs has been a mainstay in Fantasy football lineups for years, but which 2024 Fantasy football breakouts can help you win a championship? The Texans had a pair of Fantasy football breakouts last season in quarterback C.J. Stroud and wide receiver Tank Dell. Stroud threw for more than 4,100 yards and 23 touchdowns in his rookie season, while Dell finished his rookie campaign with 47 receptions for 709 yards and seven touchdowns. Which 2024 Fantasy football rookies have the chance to duplicate that success?
Last year, the model accurately predicted that Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs would carry significantly more value than expected during his rookie season. The result: Gibbs rushed for 945 yards and 10 touchdowns while also catching 52 passes for 316 yards and a score. Gibbs was coming off the board in the middle of the fourth round on average but finished as a top-10 running back in CBS Sports PPR leagues.
The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor's monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it's called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.
The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The projections update multiple times daily, so you're always getting the best Fantasy football advice.
Now, SportsLine has simulated the entire NFL season 10,000 times and released its latest Fantasy football rankings 2024, along with plenty of sleepers, breakouts and busts. Head to SportsLine now to see them .
Top 2024 Fantasy football breakouts
One of the 2024 Fantasy football breakouts the model is predicting: Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed. He burst on the scene in his rookie season in Green Bay. He finished last season with 64 catches for 793 yards and eight touchdown receptions, proving he has what it takes to produce for Fantasy owners on a weekly basis.
Last year, Reed scored at least 15 PPR points in seven of his final eight games to close the regular season. The majority of Reed's production came when Christian Watson was dealing with hamstring problems, but SportsLine's model expects Reed to be another productive receiving threat for Fantasy owners in 2024 even with Watson fully healthy. In fact, the model is projecting Reed to outperform wideouts like DeAndre Hopkins, Michael Pittman, George Pickens and Keenan Allen, making him one of the Fantasy football breakouts to target on draft day.
Another breakout that SportsLine's Fantasy football rankings 2024 have identified: Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft showcased his ability to be a top performer last season, providing a boost with his legs and rushing for four touchdowns over his first four games. However, Richardson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 5.
Richardson, who also missed Week 3 with a concussion last season, was QB3 in Fantasy football on a points-per-game basis after Week 4. Richardson's 6-foot-4 size and overall athleticism give him an advantage on the ground and in the red zone. He passed for at least 200 yards and rushed for at least 40 yards and a touchdown in the two games he started and finished as a rookie, showing the upside of being an elite quarterback. If he can stay healthy, Richardson is a prime candidate to become one of the Fantasy football breakouts 2024. See which other Fantasy football breakouts 2024 to pick here .
