There’s a reason Greg McElroy named his podcast "Always College Football ." The former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback is becoming one of the most prominent voices in the sport, not only due to his color commentary during the season but also because of his opinions on his podcast.

He’s a proud member of the ESPN college football broadcasting team, and it seems the higher-ups are starting to recognize his value to the network. With less than one month until the first college football matchup kicks off, he made a major announcement about where fans can not only listen, but also watch "Always College Football ."

“What better way to kickoff August than with Always College Football debuting on ESPN2," he wrote from the Always College Football account. "24 days away,”

Ahead of the 2023 season, ESPN bumped McElroy to the network's No. 2 college football broadcast team, alongside Sean McDonough. He took the spot left vacant by Todd Blackledge’s switch from ESPN to NBC.

McElroy’s podcast has been accessible to fans on streaming platforms, and YouTube, up until this point, but now "Always College Football" will be making its TV debut on ESPN2. McElroy continues to earn the trust of his network through his consistency and unique perspective on the game.

This will serve as an opportunity to earn more trust with fans for those same reasons on national TV.
