Buca di Beppo has abruptly shut down 13 more locations this week that have been struggling to stay afloat amid economic pressures since the COVID pandemic, including the last location in New Jersey.
The restaurant chain is one of many businesses that have had to close their doors, such as Cracker Barrel, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster , Applebee's, Outback Steakhouse, Mod Pizza, Hooters and many more.
Buca di Beppo has been slowly closing locations since the pandemic and has closed approximately 20% more of their locations this week, according to Restaurant Business Magazine.
The restaurant, well known for their family-style serving portions of Italian cuisine, is headquartered in Orlando, Florida and has shuttered other locations in recent years, including two restaurants in Pittsburgh earlier this year. There are over 40 other locations that remain open across the country and abroad.
Buca di Beppo's 13 closures include restaurants in Sacremento, California; Salt Lake City, and Midvale, Utah; Livonia and Utica, Michigan; Colonie, New York and two in Pennsylvania and New Jersey:
