The site boasts 24-hour security with 40 CCTV cameras – as well as fingerprint recognition to enter.

The facility is fitted with dual heat-activated sprinklers to protect cars from any fires – and humidity levels are maintained between 48 and 55 per cent to prevent any moisture, rust, or corrosion damaging vehicles.

Upon arrival, a record is created for each supercar – with its condition meticulously captured through SHY’s custom camera array.

The vehicle then undergoes “thorough” preparation before it is secured on its own dedicated 2.2m x 4.8m ‘bed’ on a bespoke galvanised steel rack.

Each car will have its own drip trays and anchor point, as well as its own armoured power supply for required battery conditioning .

Clients can access their vehicles at any time Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, or, out-of-hours upon request.

They can also make use of the luxurious offerings inside the facility – from the fully-fitted kitchen , to the 75-inch smart TV with an integrated Sonos sound system, to a boardroom fitted for meetings or other corporate events .

Daniel Wood and Desmond Boughton, co-founders of SHY Automotive, said their facility was founded on a single question: “You wouldn’t put priceless artwork in a barn, so why would you do it with a car?”

They created SHY Automotive to “fill a significant gap in the market ” – offering a level of care and security to high-value cars which has been “previously unseen in the industry”.

Mr Wood said: “At SHY Automotive, we understand that every vehicle we store is more than just a mode of transport; it’s a treasured asset, often with significant sentimental and financial value.

“Our state-of-the-art facility and dedicated team are committed to providing the highest level of care and security, ensuring that each vehicle is preserved in immaculate condition .

“We are proud to offer a storage solution that truly respects the value of these remarkable machines.”

Mr Boughton added: “We created SHY Automotive to address a critical gap in the market for secure, high-end car storage.

“Our facility is designed with meticulous attention to detai l, from advanced fire protection systems to a unique racking and a bespoke loading-and-unloading system.

“We offer peace of mind to our clients, knowing their cars are stored in an environment that prioritises security, preservation, and discretion.

“SHY Automotive is not just a storage solution; it’s a commitment to excellence in every aspect of vehicle care.”

SHY Automotive adds a new arm to the SHY brand family, which comprises SHY Aviation and SHY Lifestyle.

SHY Aviation offers bespoke private aviation services, while SHY Lifestyle provides tailored lifestyle management services which aim to cater “to the unique needs of high-net-worth individuals.”

It comes as a woman claimed she has faced paying a daily parking fine for stopping outside her home.

The area which is “highly-subscribed” and therefore has limited parking bays creating issues over parking permits in the area.
