ALEA: 19-year-old killed in Limestone County motorcycle vs. vehicle crash

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) —Authorities say a 19-year-old was killed in a motorcycle crash on Thursday evening.

Limestone County Coroner Mike West said the call came in about the wreck on Highway 72 West near Little Elk Road around 6 p.m.

The driver of the motorcycle was killed in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner. ALEA identified the driver as Sidney T. Hamilton, 19.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says Hamilton’s motorcycle hit another vehicle and he was thrown from the motorcycle.

The agency said the driver of the other vehicle was taken to Athens Limestone Hospital by Athens EMS.

ALEA says the investigation is still ongoing.
