Katie Ledecky's Old Footage With Michael Jordan Goes Viral Amid Olympic Success

As Katie Ledecky continues to dominate in the 2024 Olympics, an old video of her with NBA legend Michael Jordan has resurfaced online and has had everyone buzzing.

On Wednesday, Ledecky bagged her eighth career Olympic gold medal after winning the women's 1,500-meter freestyle. With the victory, she tied Jenny Thompson for the most Olympic gold medals by an American woman in history.

Even better, Ledecky became the first female swimmer to win gold in four Olympic events, having won the top prize in the 2012, 2016, 2020 and now 2024 iterations of the event.

As the spotlight turned to Ledecky, fans simply couldn't stop talking about her. SportsCenter jumped on the trend and brought back a video from when Ledecky was still a kid. It showed Jordan playing peek-a-boo with a young Katie during a sporting event in Washington.

Ledecky shared the video back in 2020. According to reports at the time, she got such a good seat because her uncle, Jon Ledecky, was the former minority owner of the Washington Capitals.

Fans absolutely loved the moment, with many even saying that Michael Jordan--considered the greatest basketball player to ever live--influenced Katie Ledecky to become a GOAT (greatest of all time) herself.

It's certainly an adorable moment between Ledecky and Jordan. Hopefully, as Ledecky looks to bring more gold for the US, fans would also get to see His Airness show his support for her.
