Rams' Sean McVay Concerned with Latest Injury to Star Receiver Puka Nacua

Los Angeles Rams' star wide receiver Puka Nacua left Sunday's practice early, which was also a joint session with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Nacua departed "a little over an hour" in and did not return to participate, but he remained on the sidelines "in uniform and in helmet," according to Jourdan Rodrigue of the The Athletic. Rams head coach Sean McVay was "not sure" what transpired.
“Puka Nacua left practice a little over an hour into it after a team drills period, and did not return to play but stayed in uniform and helmet on sideline,” Rodrigue wrote on her X, formerly Twitter, account. “He had a bag of ice wrapped around his right knee. Sean McVay says he is “not sure” what happened.”
Puka Nacua caught 105 passes for 1486 yards and six touchdowns throughout his rookie season in 2023.

The cause of the injury is somewhat unclear, but it appears to involve the right knee area, as Rodrigue reported a bag of ice was placed there. The severity of the injury and whether Nacua will miss any regular-season games, with the opener about a month away, is yet to be determined.
Nacua had an outstanding rookie season, stepping in for injured star wide receiver Cooper Kupp for most of the time. The BYU alum caught 105 passes for 1486 yards and six touchdowns. It's uncertain if he will be sidelined for a significant period, as he played all 17 games last season.
The 23-year-old's journey is remarkable, having been selected with the Rams' 177th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He made an immediate impact, with 10 receptions on 15 targets for 119 yards in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks, and even better performance in Weer 2 against the San Francisco 49ers, catching 15 passes on 20 targets for 147 yards.
Nacua's versatility allows him to play on the field, either on the outside or in the slot, making him a valuable asset for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. Fans are anxiously awaiting updates as the Rams aim to build on last season's 10-7 record, which placed them second in the NFC West, as they start the season on the road against the Detroit Lions, the team that eliminated from the playoffs.
