I think we can collectively agree that Snoop Dogg at the Olympic Games has been a standout.

This weekend, the internet was taken by storm when Snoop showed up to support the dressage competition in head-to-toe equestrian apparel. He wore a shadbelly jacket, half chaps, and a stunning Samshield helmet. And who better to accompany Snoop than Martha Stewart, the queen of class and prim and proper events? The two attended the competition, also celebrating Stewart’s 83rd birthday.

“Snoop called me, and he knows I love horses. He’s a little fearful of horses.”

The internet was in love with this moment, seeing these two spectating from the sidelines as the horses and riders competed in the dressage qualifying event. After the two were on the ground of the Palace of Versailles, they stopped by the Prime Time studio to review some of the final rides and comment on the top athletes.

As the two watched, Snoop Dogg was shocked to learn that one of the horses in the final was named “Gin & Juice.” The Polish rider Sandra Sysojeva entered the arena on her impressive black mare. Snoop lights up when he hears the intro of his song dubbed over the performance, perfectly matching the beats of the horse dancing around the arena.

He quickly broke out into a rap, getting into the test.

“Get ‘crackin, from the front to the back / With so much drama in Par-is / It’s kind of hard being a H-O-R-S-E.”

Entertainment Weekly quickly found out that NBC had just overdubbed the song, and the horse’s name was not “Gin & Juice” but Maxima Bella. Regardless, it makes for top-tier content. After they watched some of the horse’s tests, Mike Tirico asked Snoop if he liked spending time with Stewart watching and learning the equestrian event.

“Honestly, Mike, this is one of my new favorite sports. I didn’t realize that I really love the chemistry of the driver and the horse. I call them drivers because they actually drive them, but it felt good sitting in the audience watching it and seeing it all take place.”

Snoop also told Tirico that attending helped him overcome his fear of horses. He was able to feed some of the horses treats and interact with them on the ground.

I think Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart need to attend more events together; they are a hilarious pair, and they are also educational.

While you’re here, you might as well fire up the 1993 hit.
