A Russian father, driven by a shocking discovery of abuse against his six year old daughter, forced her abuser to dig his own grave in the woods and subsequently convinced him to commit suicide .

The man, Vyacheslav Matrosov, 35, discovered harrowing footage of his daughter being sexually abused and confronted Oleg Sviridov, 32, who was both Matrosov's ex-friend and the childs babysitter.

In the disturbing footage, the young girl desperately pleads, "Oleg, that's enough, I can't take it anymore. I want to go home."

After tracking down Sviridov, the confrontation led to events causing Sviridov's death.

Initially charged with murder, the investigation concluded Sviridov died from wounds he inflicted upon himself.

Matrosov received an 18-month prison sentence, serving 12 months before his early release in 2022.

Public opinion in Russia rallied behind Matrosov when details emerged about how he dealt with his daughter's predator.

Upon regaining freedom, Matrosov took to social media, posting a picture emblematic of his relief, subtitled: "Home. Love very much."

Despite only being convicted for "inciting" Sviridovs "to suicide" as ruled by Krasnoglinsky Court in Samara, Matrosov - a former rocket engine factory employee - avoided a potential 15-year sentence for murder.

Public sentiment has overwhelmingly rallied behind Matrosov in the Samara region after he became embroiled in the murder of known pedophile Sviridov, catapulting the story into international headlines. The tight-knit community of Pribrezhnoye didn't hesitate to open their wallets, generously funding Matrosov's initial legal defense.

Murmurs echo through the town about two more possible minors falling prey to Sviridovallegations yet awaiting confirmation. A groundswell of local support materialized in the form of a petition, gathering 2,500 signatures and pleading for Matrosov's release, while voicing gratitude for "saving our children by ridding us of a child sex attacker."

Adding fuel to the fire, media icon and past presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak declared: "All parents are standing up for the pedophile's killer."
