Three takeaways from Team USA's quarterfinal win over Brazil

Team USA has secured its spot in the semifinals. Steve Kerr's team defeated Brazil 122-87 on Tuesday.

The star-studded roster produced one of its best performances to date, with multiple players finding their rhythm, thus making them the biggest threat in the tournament moving forward.

Here are three takeaways from the USA's win:

Bruno Caboclo deserves another shot in the NBA

Caboclo has shone throughout his time in the Olympics, and while his participation in the tournament is now over, he can look back with his head held high.

Caboclo faced down a team full of NBA talent and scored 30 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and a block.

When looking at Caboclo's body of work throughout the tournament, it seems logical that an NBA team will at least consider a potential contract offer. After all, if Caboclo can have even half the impact he's had this summer, he would be an important role player.

Devin Booker's defense is encouraging for the Suns

Booker's defense has been a genuine talking point in the last few games. He is thriving on that side of the ball and proving that he's capable of being a two-way talent at the highest level. His performances in the Olympics will undoubtedly interest the Phoenix Suns, who will likely task him with a similar role under Mike Budenholzer.

Still, Booker must be focused on honing his two-way skillset to help Team USA win a gold medal. After all, it's only two games away from its goal.

Steve Kerr sticks with a three-guard lineup

Kerr has continued to use a three-guard lineup despite having an elite frontcourt rotation. Jayson Tatum, Anthony Davis, and Kevin Durant continue to come off the bench. While Kerr's roster is winning, it does seem illogical to keep so much firepower out of the starting lineup.

Perhaps he will change his rotations and approach in the final two games, especially if the USA draw France or Serbia, who both have high-level front court talents.
