Bryce James is ranked 100th in the 150 best high school prospects in the country by On3 . Bryce, much like his brother Bronny, is making waves in high school and could be a big recruitment prospect for college basketball programs after he finishes high school next year.

Bryce is also ranked as the 21st-best player at the shooting guard position , and the eighth-best recruit out of California. Bryce was named a four-star prospect heading into his senior year of high school.

Another notable name on this list is Kiyan Anthony , the son of Carmelo Anthony , who is ranked the 30th-best prospect in the country. Kiyan was also recently named the best prospect in the New York region .

Bryce could improve even further in his senior year, as he develops his game and his physical gifts. Currently, James has two offers to join college basketball programs, from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, and Ohio State.

James playing for Ohio State would be quite poetic, as he grew up for most of his life in Cleveland, while his father LeBron James played for the Cavaliers. Being an Ohio native and playing for Ohio State would bolster his popularity greatly, not that he would need the boost, given his last name and familial ties.

There has been speculation that LeBron James could continue playing in the NBA till 2026 or 2027 when his son Bryce will also be available to make the jump to the NBA.

However, Bryce James himself shut down that speculation , noting that his father would be way older by the time he is ready to make the transition to the league, and it would be unrealistic to expect all three men of the James clan to play together.

How Will Bryce James Develop As A Player?

Bryce James, like his brother Bronny , isn't big enough to play forward like his dad. However, that could change, as he is more gifted physically than his brother. For now, he plays as a shooting guard and has shown his slashing ability and gifted physicality during games when playing for Sierra Canyon.

Now a four-star recruit, Bryce could continue developing his game in his senior year at Sierra Canyon. A great high school year, perhaps even a selection into the McDonald's All-American game could do wonders for his stock, as more colleges might try to recruit him once he graduates.

Unlike Bronny, Bryce might want to go to Ohio State and play for them, considering his close ties to the state. But the key for Bryce will be to focus on developing as a player and an athlete rather than entering the NBA. His brother Bronny just got drafted by the Lakers earlier this summer, and many have speculated that he isn't ready for it.

For Bryce, it might be best to spend an extra year in college if he isn't ready to make the jump, as he could develop his game further and become a sought-after prospect when he does eventually make the jump, and not have to play in the G-League when he first arrives, like his brother Bronny is expected to .

Whatever decision Bryce makes, the only hope is that he does what is best for him. As the son of LeBron James, Bryce is going to be under a lot of pressure to live up to expectations. But the only expectations he should focus on are his own, as that is all that matters at the end of the day.
