Ahead of her appearance in the long jump final on Thursday, Hunter Woodhall shared a heartfelt, emotional message for his wife, Tara Davis-Woodhall.

Lauding his wife for inspiring him every day, Woodhall penned a lengthy Instagram post in which he lauded her for being open, with her authenticity, struggles and work ethic.

"Tomorrow you contend for the Olympic Title. I’m so humbled by you. You have battled through so much just to give yourself a chance. You’ve inspired so many with your authenticity. Showing it’s okay to struggle, it’s okay to not always be okay. Through everything you continued to fight for your dream. No one has worked harder. No one has been more disciplined. You inspire me every day to be great. Tomorrow is your moment. Enjoy every bit of it. You are ready ❤️," Woodhall wrote.

A U.S. Paralympian, Woodhall is a three-time Paralympic medalist, earning a bronze and silver at the Rio Games in the 200- and 400-meter T44 races, and a bronze in Tokyo in the 400m T62.

Davis-Woodhall missed out on an Olympic medal in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, finishing in sixth place. She is coming off a gold medal long jump victory at the world indoor championships in Glasgow, Scotland.

Davis-Woodhall also won a silver medal in 2023 in long jump at the world championships. She also won the 2023 indoor championship, but the medal was stripped after she tested positive for THC.

The pair were married in 2022.

On Thursday, his wife has a chance to join him with some Olympic jewelry around her neck. But Davis-Woodhall clearly already won his heart, and assumedly the hearts of many others, which means more than any medal.
