Woman fighting for life after late-night shooting in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A woman is fighting for her life after she was shot late Thursday night in Chesterfield County.

At about 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the 3700 block of Passage Way Drive for report of a shooting.

When they arrived, officers found a woman with a gunshot wound. According to police, she was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

A police spokesperson told 8News that the victim’s injuries are life-threatening.
